Orange Shirt Day

Our school community will be participating in Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th.  This is a day to listen, learn, and celebrate Aboriginal culture.  Individual classrooms will be participating in various learning opportunities on this day.  Students are encouraged to wear an orange shirt this Wednesday to show their support.  This day grew out of Phyllis’ story of having her shiny, new orange shirt taken away on her first day at a residential school in William's Lake, BC. and now it has become an opportunity to keep the discussion on all aspects of residential school’s happening annually.  For more information please go to : https://www.orangeshirtday.org/
